To my readers around the world over past week in the news the world saw America's cruel and inhumane policy of separating immigrant children from their families this policy goes against the values of America because my country is seen as a beacon of hope by immigrants around the world who want to come here for a better life and to live the American dream my country is known for. Seeing America separate immigrant children from their families was very heartbreaking and cruel to see happen in my country it made me feel upset and disappointed as a citizen of America because this is not what America stands for and I want the world to know that America is a beautiful diverse nation where we love each other and open our doors to everyone no matter where they are from in the world our president may not see this beautiful part of America but me and my fellow American citizens see the beauty and diversity immigrants bring to America everyday. No matter where we are from family is important and immigrants who come to America as a family deserve the right to be together not being separated by the cruel immigration policies our president is creating to close the doors of America to immigrants because Family is Family it should not matter where you are from what should matter is keeping immigrant families who come to America together so they can experience the American dream together as family.
